Challenge
Buying new injection nozzles for trains is normally an expensive business, so renovating them instead can be a more viable solution.
We have the skills at RL Components to assist with this and have renovated nozzles for IC4 trains and others.
Solution
When we receive defective nozzles from a customer, we test them in order to document defects and then disassemble them. We then replace the inner parts where necessary with new original components and replace the outer O-rings.
Finally, we reassemble the nozzles and test them on our advanced test bench, which films the spray pattern with a high-speed camera. If the nozzle is approved at the test stage, we seal it and send it back to the customer together with a test report.
